Years ago my mom taught me how to preserve Christmas messages from friends and family in a unique and creative way. Some of us receive hundreds of Christmas cards, and most toss them after the holiday display is taken down. So what to do with all of these cards? All you need is a pair of scissors to create beautiful gift tags for next year. Photo cards are not optimal for this simple project, but most cards can be trimmed down to a nice gift tag size. You can then either punch a hole in the corner to attach it with ribbon, or tape it on your package. The best part? Finding the best design to go with your wrapping paper. Ultimately this is a way to recycle and remember. It also makes for much more interesting packages. Way better than sticky tags you can buy anywhere! Thanks, Mom.
