When I bought an ad in Phoenix Woman magazine this fall to support Breast Cancer, the editors asked me to perhaps share my journey through Breast Cancer online. I had never considered writing all of this down, because frankly, who wants to regurgitate it all again? I thought about it a while, and started writing. Pretty soon it was flowing…and flowing…and when I was done I was rather enervated. There was something about it however, that felt good – liberating. Those who don’t share their stories or their challenges have a bit more difficulty with the recovery from this ordeal. There is great strength in sharing, not only for us, but for those around us who can benefit from the information and support we put out there for others.
So here it is…for all to read. And I must say since I wrote this, my story has gotten better every day. To learn more about my advocacy, visit the Survival Story page in this site. My unedited and unbridled story can be found in the Pink Ribbon Stories link below.
