Grayhawk now has a new neighborhood favorite.
The LOCAL BISTRO just moved in next door to Pure Sushi (another one of my favorites) and O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub. We have been there three times since discovering this place a few weeks ago.
We stopped in for a glass of wine after an event we had attended, and sat at the bar. We were greeted by Natalie who poured us a wonderful Cab, then the owner German Osio brought out a large aluminum pot full of Mushroom Risotto. He spooned some on our plates and encouraged us to enjoy it on the house.
We went back with our dear friends Michael and Kim and tried their Drunken Bread this time…oh my. Marinated in wine and broiled with Gruyere cheese. Wine and cheese with a twist.
Andrea (Italian for Andy) is the head chef and makes the best risotto I’ve tasted. We both love the atmosphere, the family hospitality, and of course the food and wine.
As an extra perk, they serve brunch on weekends with bottomless Bloody Marys. You absolutely have to give this place a try.
