40 degrees in Scottsdale? No worries. We just layered ourselves and put on some gloves. What a beautiful way to start off our New Year’s Eve. My sister and her husband were in town from Boston, and we wanted to show them the beauty of the McDowell Mountains, despite gray skies. For those of you who enjoy hiking, the Gateway is where you need to go. There is something for everyone, even your four-legged friends (they even have a water bubbler at puppy level for doggie hydration). You can go the short loop which is 3.6 miles with moderate effort, or for you hardbodies go for the longer loops. Whatever you choose it is really a beautiful place to experience the outdoors.
