What a great day in the Carefree community. We started out for breakfast at the Sundial Cafe, then headed over to Our Lady of Joy where the parish celebrated the installation of their new priest. Then down the road to downtown Carefree. Several times a year, the town hosts the Thunderbird Artists’ CAREFREE ART & WINE FESTIVAL right in the center of town, and we had signed up to help. Since my real estate firm Sonoran Desert Lifestyles is based in Carefree, several of us from the office like to volunteer for local community events. It was perfect Arizona weather, and hundreds of residents and visitors enjoyed the interesting selection of vendors who were there selling their talents. We sold wine glasses with tasting tickets at the entrance. You buy a collectable wine glass inscribed with the event, and turn in your tasting tickets for a sip of local vintages. Keep the glass when you leave. Everyone loves this event. I’ll be sure to post the date for the next one…
